What is oil bearing?

The sintered body of oil bearing is made of metal powder by powder metallurgy method. It is porous in nature and has the technical advantages of freely adjusting the number, size, shape and distribution of pores in the manufacturing process. Based on the porosity of the sintered body, the sintered body is impregnated with 10% – 40% (volume fraction) lubricating oil and used under the condition of self-lubricating oil supply. During operation, the temperature of the bearing rises. As the expansion coefficient of the oil is larger than that of the metal, it automatically enters the sliding surface to lubricate the bearing. Oil bearing can be used for a long time by adding oil once, and it is often used in the situation where it is inconvenient to add oil.

What is self-lubricating bearing?

Self lubricating bearings are divided into composite self-lubricating bearings, solid inlaid self-lubricating bearings, bimetal self-lubricating bearings and special material self-lubricating bearings. Different self-lubricating bearings are selected according to different uses and working conditions. JDB is a new kind of lubrication bearing which has the characteristics of both metal bearing and oil-free lubrication bearing. It is loaded by metal matrix and lubricated by special solid lubrication material.

The difference between oil-bearing and self-lubricating bearing is as follows:

The results are as follows: 1. The oil-bearing is made of metal powder with 10-40% structural clearance; the inlaid self-lubricating bearing matrix is made of centrifugal casting; the matrix density is relatively high, the bonding strength is higher than that of oil-bearing, and the service life is longer than that of oil-bearing;

2. The lubricating material of oil bearing is lubricating oil, and the oil film has enough thickness to eliminate the direct contact between two friction surfaces. At this time, there is only friction between liquid molecules, so the friction coefficient is very small (F = 0.001 ~ 0.008), which significantly reduces the friction and wear; and the lubrication material of self-lubricating bearing is solid lubrication material, even in the oil-free condition, it can still get good lubrication effect, which can ensure the uninterrupted and sustainable lubrication, and its effective lubrication life is consistent with that of the substrate;

3. The lubricating oil in the oil-bearing is easy to volatilize and lose, and the lubricating oil film loses quickly under high temperature and high pressure, so it is unable to obtain the proper lubricating effect; however, in the graphite copper sleeve, the solid lubricant in the hole or groove transfers or reversely transfers to the friction surface through friction, forming a solid transfer film with good lubrication, firm adhesion and uniform coverage on the friction surface, which greatly reduces the lubricating effect Low friction and wear. With the development of friction, the embedded solid lubricant is continuously provided on the friction surface to ensure the good lubrication of the friction pair during long-term operation
